I'm Without My Voice Today

This will be a short post today. For the last couple of days I have been sick, so I haven't been able to do a lot of Entrecard dropping, but I did finally respond to comments on my previous post. So please accept my apologies, my fellow Entrecarders. I hope to return drops tomorrow. I was so pleased that many of you enjoyed my "7 Things" post and I wanted to respond back to show my appreciation. Here's a photo of our bed and I've posted it before, but I post it again because this is where I have been for a couple of days :-)

I have had this congestion and fever, coupled with a bad sore throat that has graduated to a bit of laryngitis. It was awful yesterday. I got some meds from the doctor and today I am feeling a bit better, so hopefully tomorrow I will be on my feet. Thanks for visiting me again. :-)

Hi Dori

Thanks for visiting! I am an Australian living in the UK. There are so many great things here but the weather isn't one of them. My first year here I caught a couple of nasty flu's. They are just new for us. I did try to fight them off but resigned myself to bed as well.

Rest, retreat and recover :)

I'm so sorry you've been sick and I hope you get better quickly. I love the way you have your bed done in white. It looks so peaceful and serene and cozy. If you have to be sick, what a beautiful place to spend your hours.

I really hope that you get better soon. I went down and read your 7 things and we do have a few things in common. I was also in the honor society and I played the clarinet in band (I know, its not the lute,
but it is the woodwinds section). Same with ghosts...do you get Ghost Hunters? If you do, a very good show (Sci-Fi channel). Anyway, I really hope you get to feeling better soon. I know you have recently received this award, but I would like to pass it along to you anyway. You have just received a most prestigious award. You can swing by my site,
http://mrmomsunite.blogspot.com , to pick it up...the paparazzi are already there and waiting for you.

Ivanhoe,
Thanks for the well wishes pal. I'm feeling quite a bit better today. :-)

Renee,
Thanks for wishing me well and I'm glad you like our comfy bed. When you're sick you realize just how much you don't get the chance to enjoy your bed in regular times. So even though I have been sick, I have enjoyed the bed a bit. :-)

Charmainezoe,
Thanks buddy... I'm feeling better now and it's true, bed is the best place. :)

Elizabeth,
Thanks for visiting me friend. As for my bed, it came with the house actually, so I don't know where it came from, sorry. :)

Lou,
Thanks for your well wishes. :)

Health Nut Wannabee Mom,
Thanks for the well wishes and yeah, isn't bed just so cozy when we're sick. :)

Jodapoet,
Thanks for wishing me all better. :) And thanks for visiting me.

Julieanne,
Cool, another expat. :) You are right about the weather...it takes a bit of time to acclimate. Thanks for stopping by and for wishing me well.

Jacqueline,
Thanks my dear friend. :)

Mountain Woman,
Thanks for your kindness and concern. And yeah, I like lighter colors for the bed. For some reason I just rest better. I think that it does inspire calm. I alternate between this off-white color and pale blues. :)

Marly,
Thanks for stopping by and I definitely took your advice. :)

Alicia,
I'm feeling better today...thanks for sending those get well vibes to me. :)

Liza,
Thanks for visiting and for wishing me well. :)

Gypsy at Heart,
Thanks for the well wishes and Brit Boy was a good Brit Boy and took care of me. :)

BK,
I'm feeling better and thanks. I hope you have a great weekend too. :)

Natural,
You are so right...sneezing and coughing are everywhere. Thanks for wishing me all better. :)

Tahtimbo,
Thanks, I do feel better today. I just love blogging because you find out how much you have in common with others. :) Yeah, us woodwinds did hang out together in band. We do get Ghost Hunters here, and I love that show. I would love to go on a ghost hunt, I think...if I didn't turn chicken and run. LOL. Awww, thanks for the award and paparazzi too, as the chick in Sunset Boulevard said, "I'm ready for my close-up." LOL. Thank you so much. :)

**And to you all, thank you so, so much. It is great to have so many blogging friends out there who care. It's certainly made me feel better. It's so nice to be welcomed back to the world of the well and have all of this to come back to. Have a great rest of the weekend! :-)

I am sorry to read you have been sick, but I see in a newer post you are doing better. :) I was sick for a few weeks, so I sympathize. I lost my voice- how awful! Couldn't holler at the kids! ;)

Hope you continue to recuperate speedily. All the best.
